I am an experienced high school English teacher and unschooling mama with a passion for education, literature, critical thought, and intersectionality.

Art projects not finished in class should be completed before next class.

Week 1: permanent markers, scissors, hole punch, oven, baking sheet, string, foil, "Ruff 'N Ready Shrinky Dinks Creative Pack" (found on Amazon or at craft store)

Week 2: self-drying modeling clay, wooden matchstick or chopstick (or something else similar with a square or triangle-shaped end), markers, cardboard, scissors, doll or large action figure, strips of fabric or gauze, toilet paper, tape

Week 3: two 2-liter clear plastic bottles (empty and clean), water, food coloring, scissors, duct tape

Week 4: Styrofoam block (found at art supply stores), plastic knife, black and white acrylic paint, paintbrushes, scissors, stiff cardboard, foil, glue stick, ball point pen, several small and clean stones (or make some prior to class out of self-drying clay), permanent marker, bowl approx. 10" in diameter, sturdy fabric (such as felt or leather) larger than the bowl's diameter, yarn or string 

Week 5: 2 disposable cups (like Solo cups), scissors, duct tape, two latex balloons, rubber bands, paint, feathers, pretty tape or other decorative items, glue, spoon, newspaper, knife, potato, paper towels, pencil, plain paper or cloth, marker

Week 6: sidewalk access (where they can take the device they're viewing class on) or a large piece of butcher/craft paper, colored sidewalk chalk, colored sand, hairspray or other temporary art fixative, stones of varying sizes

Week 7: plastic egg (like one would fill for Easter), non-drying clay or putty, red and white paint, paintbrushes, black permanent marker, stiff but light cardboard, ruler, scissors, stapler, markers

Week 8: flour, water, salt, measuring cups, oven, glue, permanent markers, mixing bowl, spoon, varying colors of yarn or string, scissors

Week 9: corn seeds, green bean seeds, squash seeds, soil, small planter, medium saucepan, water, frozen lima beans, frozen corn, frozen zucchini, butter, salt, pepper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
