Day One: a snake or caterpillar, your own tic-tac-toe pieces Four sheets of construction paper - any color, glue, scissors, markers, googly eyes if you wish Three pieces of card stock - all different colors - we will use markers too Day Two: marble art, origami finger puppets A plastic bin or aluminum tray at least 2 inches deep, three pieces of paper, at least 5 marbles, and three paint colors to squeeze onto paper. 3 square pieces of paper 5 inches by 5 inches. Can color on one side or get two colored paper - one color each side. Also will need markers to draw the face. Day Three: a woven sun/planet, a pirate hat A paper plate, scissors, and yarn of color choice for sun (yellow) Earth (blue/green) Mars (red/orange) Crayons or markers, glue or stapler, black construction paper, scissors, glue - will have pattern in class packet. Day Four: card making and microwave puffy paint Six pieces of construction paper, markers, scissors and glue. Feel free to have stickers or other items to embellish your cards. Puffy Paint is a ton of fun! Simply squeeze the easy 4-ingredient paint on to your paper and microwave your artwork for a few seconds to watch the paint puff up and grow right before your eyes! A fantastic way to combine art + science! 2 pieces of construction paper or paper plates. One cup of flour, mix in 3 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp of salt and enough water to look like pancake batter. Please divide into four parts, Ziploc baggies work really well. Add food coloring to make fun colors. Bag ties or rubber bands can help tie the bags. Cut a small part of the bag tip as if you were icing cookies. This will need to go in the microwave for 30-45 seconds to grow Day Five: homemade playdough completing other projects if needed 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1 cup baking soda, 3/4 cup water Optional: food coloring (4-5 drops) or essential oils (2-3 drops)
