Class Experience

Learners will learn to create beautiful ly practical and useful crafts.
Learners will learn how to use different crafting mediums and techniques.
Learners well learn to practice patience  through crafting.
I have crafted over several years of creating my own crafts and working with many children as an educator, community member and parent.
Learners may need to complete crafts after class ends.
Day 1: 3 sticks about 8-10" long, a few skeins of embroidery floss in the same color or different colors based on child's liking, twine, scissors, assorted feathers/shells/beads/crystals for decoration {optional}, hot glue gun, hot glue sticks
Day 2: Duct Tape Pouch
*Favorite color roll of of duct tape
* 7 inch zipper
*scissors or exacto knife (if you feel your learner can manage an exacto knife, their cutting will be more exact)
*hot glue

Day 3: Jewelry dishes
* 2 to 3 colors of polymer clay
* rolling pin
* oven safe bowl with no greater than a 3" diameter base
* gold leaf paint (optional)
* clear sealant spray (optional)

Day 4: Artistic Light Switch Covers
* 2 plain white light switch cover plates
* decorative paper, magazine page, wrapping paper or post card with design that learner likes
* Spray adhesive
* elmers glue
* small crafting paintbrush to use with glue
* scissors
* exacto knife
* clear sealant

Day 5: Flower Pen Arrangement and Flower Hair Art
*ball point pens (as man as you'd like)
*Faux Flowers (1 for each pen)
*Vase, jar or can with a big opening
*Floral Tape
*wire cutters or something that will cut through the faux flower stems
*Rubber hair bands or large bobby pins
*hot glue or fast drying craft glue
*needle and thread
*Faux flowers
*Glitter glue

Day 6: Relaxing Bath Crystal Body Scrub and Crusty-Foot Balm
*1/2 c. petroleum jelly
*pepperment oil
*Small glass container with screw on lid
*2lbs. Epsom salt
* Small amount of olive oil
*lavender oil
*1/2 bar unused body soap (preferably unscented)
*Cheese grater
*large mixing bowl
*Glass container with a lid (I'm using a large mason jar)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Learners will be using a hot glue gun, sharp scissors and/or a craft knife.
