Most projects will be completed in class, however on occasion the student may be asked to finish outside of class if time is limited.Class Experience
Does your child love crafts? Would you like for them to make crafts that could improve fine motor and hand strength? If yes, this class is for you!! Crafts can be a fun way to help your child gain hand strength, improve fine motor skills, explore different sensory experiences, and improve bilateral coordination, without even realizing it!! This ongoing class will guide students through the steps of making fun and entertaining crafts! There will be a supplies list posted in the classroom a week before class starts to give ample time to gather needed items. I will try to use mostly common household items that many people may already have around the house. I will give step-by-step instructions during the live video conference.
Learning Goals
Students will engage with other student while making unique crafts that target hand and finger strength, sensory exploration, and/or bilateral coordination.

I am trained as an Occupational Therapist. I have come across so many children that could use a little extra support, whether they qualify for services or not. That is why I put together this class and others like it. I hope this class will be helpful for ALL children and give extra ideas for things you can continue to do at home. Please note that this is not a therapy session, as I have not evaluated your child and do not know specific areas they may be struggling with. I will be teaching students how to make crafts that generally target hand strength, fine motor skills, sensory, and bilateral coordination. Participation in this class can benefit all learners but should be taken with parent support and supervision as needed. If your child has significant deficits, weakness, or loss of muscle tone, it is best to consult with their Pediatrician for advice and treatment options.
