Class experience
In this crafty class, learners will have the opportunity to create beautiful flowers to brighten up even the cloudiest or rainiest days. Learners will create carnations, hyacinths, dahlias, roses and if time allows we will add more flower crafts. We will also decorate our own vase made of anything you choose- whether it's painting a pot you already own or making a coffee can, jar or other container into a beautiful vase. Learners will have the opportunity have creative control over colors and...
Learners will use different paper media to create many different sizes and varieties of flowers. Learners will measure, cut, glue and decorate paper, creating gorgeous flowers to keep, display or give to someone they care about. Learners will have the opportunity to share their ideas and offer suggestions in a constructive and safe space, making new friends and having fun.
As a musician, former band director and conference manager and now homeschooling mom of two, I have always had the need to express myself creatively through many different art forms. As a homeschooler of over 7 years, I have been responsible for choosing and implementing unique and creative curricula for both of my children based on their needs. As a conference manager, I had the opportunity to plan activities on a large scale and as a band director I planned concerts and class activities based on different themes. Currently, I began a band program for our local homeschool group and this year I taught Entrepreneurship, IEW Writing, Spelling, World Flavors Cooking Class and Gems across America for our local co-op, in addition to teaching on Outschool for over 2 years and Online ESL for nearly 3 years. I also enjoy putting together curriculum into meaningful and organized bundles for learners to enjoy and re-create their experiences again and again.

I have always been a teacher and explorer and received my bachelor's degree in music education in 2000. Teaching in the public school system as an accomplished band director for nearly a decade was rewarding; however, I wanted more for myself and...
