Let's use natural and recyclable materials to make open-end crafts!

Class experience

Parental guidance is recommended due to the use of scissors.
Each class has MAIN items and any number of ADDITIONAL items that students could spy around the house or outside. ADDITIONAL items listed are just examples and could be replaced with any other ones student chooses to bring.

Day 1:    Let's create with boxes and paper towel rolls! 
MAIN items:	
•	1 OR a few boxes that could be easily cut (like boxes from cereal, cookies, tea, soap, cosmetics, toothpaste, etc.) 
•	Toilet paper tube OR Paper towel tube 
•	Construction paper 
•	Glue 
•	Small scissors
•	Scotch tape
•	Markers or crayons
ADDITIONAL items:
•	Magazine pages (optional)
•	Wrapping paper (optional)
•	Construction paper (optional)
•	Old greeting cards (optional)
•	Aluminum foil (optional)
•	Jar lids or plastic bottle caps  (optional)
•	Stickers (optional)
•	Any other small items that could be glued or attached with scotch tape (examples: beads, buttons, pompoms, paper clips, bread bag clips, etc.)

Day 2: Let's create with plastic containers, bottles, cups, and lids!
MAIN items:	
•	1 OR a few plastic containers (yogurt cups, cottage containers, fruit cups, pint size plastic berry baskets, etc.)
•	1 OR a few plastic bottles 
•	Jar lids or plastic bottle caps 
•	Play dough or modeling clay
•	Construction paper 
•	Glue 
•	Small scissors
•	Scotch tape
•	Markers or crayons
ADDITIONAL items:
•	Toilet paper tube OR Paper towel tube (optional)
•	Old pencils (optional)
•	Pipe cleaners (optional)
•	Tissue paper or napkin (optional)
•	Stickers (optional)
•	Any other small that could be glued or attached with scotch tape (examples: beads, buttons, pompoms, paper clips, bread bag clips, etc.)

Day 3: Let's create with natural materials!
MAIN items:	
•	1 OR a few twigs (with leaves or without)
•	Other natural materials,  like fallen short pine or tree branches, pine cones, flowers, leaves, acorns, pebbles, etc.
•	Play dough OR modeling clay
•	Glue 
•	Small scissors
•	Scotch tape
•	Markers or crayons

ADDITIONAL items:
•	Cardboard from cereal box (optional)
•	Toilet paper tube OR Paper towel tube (optional)
•	Jar lids or plastic bottle caps  (optional)
•	Tissue paper or napkin (optional)
•	Cotton balls (optional)
•	Aluminum foil (optional)

For the craft portion of the class, parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-8). Please note that as per Outschool policy, parents should remain off camera  Thank you.
