Class Experience
I am a public school teacher with 6 years experience.
June 5: Salt Painting Black card stock White glue Salt Water color paints Cookie sheet Bowl June 6: Water Bottle Wind Spirals empty water bottles permanent markers scissors a stick string or ribbon June 7: Easy Watermelon Slime We will be reading the book “The Watermelon Seed” Then using the following ingredients to make watermelon slime: Shaving Cream Food Coloring Contact Solution 1 Bottle of White School Glue Spoon Green Paper Plates Black Beans (for Watermelon Seeds) June 8: Painting with Bubbles Ingredients for homemade bubbles: Clear dishwashing soap (I like Dawn Pure Essentials) Light corn syrup Food coloring Plastic straws Plastic cups Measuring cup Large mixing bowl Container (with lid) for storing leftovers Ingredients for painting with bubbles: colored bubbles (we’re going to make before we paint) plastic cups or containers for different colors straws paper or card stock (preferred) painters tape, optional June 9: Sharpie Tie Dye Shirts White T-Shirt, (whatever size you need) Permanent Markers, multi-colors Rubbing Alcohol Small Spray Bottle parchment paper
2 hours 55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance will be required every day because we will be using scissors, making slime and tie dying shirts with sharpies.
