Class Experience
Come celebrate Halloween with me and other students! As a class we will learn about the history of Halloween as well as go over some fun facts about Halloween, spiders and ghosts. Additionally, we will focus on creating two crafts during our time together; a paper plate spider and a puffy ghost! This class will be arts and crafts focused with the discussion, trivia and fun facts integrated throughout so that students are able to engage actively with both the instructor as well as other...
Throughout this class students will improve their understanding about Halloween, and why ghosts and spiders are associated with Halloween. Additionally, they will learn about and create a paper plate spider and puffy ghosts. Most importantly, students will have fun while learning and sharing about Halloween!
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. Additionally, I have had significant experience working with preschool aged children in a variety of capacities including in aquatics, as well as classroom and childcare settings during my experience as a traditional and non-traditional educator.
In order to participate students will require: 1. Paper plate 2. Pipe cleaners 3. Paint, crayons or markers 4. Googlie eye (optional) 5. Glue 6. Scissors 7. Construction paper 8. Cotton Balls/Pads 9. Anything else you'd like to use to decorate your crafts (ex. glitter, crayons, anything you'd like)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please note the use of scissors is encouraged to be completed with the assistance of an adult or when in direct supervision of of one. If you are unable to remain by your learner throughout the class and are uncomfortable with them using scissors please ensure any materials requiring cutting are completed in advance of the class.
