Class Experience

Each session is full of projects based on Passion, Collaboration with Peers, and a Playful Spirit. It is full of hands-on Memorable, Meaningful, and Motivating activities, specially designed for girls and boys, 10 to 12 years old.

This is a discovery class whose only academic requirement is a passion for learning and creating.

In this live course, each student will:

- Participate in a class with other children in their age group (10 - 12), discovering how engineering is a part of their everyday life.
- Enjoy eight hours of personalized project-based instruction and interest-based projects.
- Learn to design, build, and create models that will require an engineer's eye using everyday household materials.
- Collaborate with small groups (6 learners maximum per session) with one adult certified live instructor.

Learning Goals
Engineers play an essential role in our everyday lives; in this course, we will learn the basics of engineering and how engineering impacts our daily lives.

Students will learn about the engineering design process in our engineering class and how that contributes to everyday life.

In this course, students will put on their engineering caps and test their abilities by creating different projects related to the engineering field discussed for the day.

Students will learn that being an engineer starts as a model and will create model designs using materials easily found at home to complete projects.

With the instructor's guide, students will learn that they, too, can be a part of the engineering process if they are willing to try.
