Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
Being a parent of four kids ages 14, 12, 10, and 7, owning my own business as an ADHD coach, AND being diagnosed myself, I understand the challenges of navigating school and life - especially during these constantly changing times!

This online class is designed to equip teenagers (ages 13-18) with ADHD with practical strategies to excel in school and navigate everyday life.

What will be taught?

- Understanding ADHD & Executive Functions: I'll break down the concept of executive functions, the brain skills impacted by ADHD like planning, organization, and focus.

- Implementing Strategies: Teens will learn practical tools for tackling common challenges like time management, staying organized, and improving focus. Techniques such as creating schedules, using planners, and managing distractions will be covered.

- The Power of 3 S's: The class emphasizes the importance of Structure, Schedule, and Strategies (the 3 S's) for success. We'll delve into each element and provide actionable tips for implementation.

How is the class structured?

The class follows a clear structure for predictability, but also incorporates flexibility:

Lecture format: I'll deliver the core information through engaging and age-appropriate lectures with clear explanations and real-life examples.

- Interactive Q&A: I will designate time for Q & A so that students may ask anything they are uncertain about

- Pre-submitted questions: To maximize content coverage, I encourage students to submit questions beforehand.

Teaching style:

My teaching style is interactive and relatable.
