Description
Class Experience
In this class, learners will focus on one reading passage each week. My lessons are well-organized with clear goals, but are taught in a fun atmosphere with engaging and interactive components. Texts will vary, poetry and prose, fiction and non-fiction, to expose readers to language in a variety of ways. Texts will generally be at a 1st/2nd grade level. Each session will stand alone, and students can join for one class or all! Sessions will follow this general format: 1. Phonics or fluency...
I am a certified elementary teacher with years of experience in preschool and second grade. I have also taught ESL for 3 years on-line, and hold an MA in Teaching from Dominican University.
Passages will be sent 24 hours before class (and available as a post for people who register after the 24 hour mark each week). White board and marker might also be helpful tools.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
