Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 8
Beginner Level
Cozy Yoga Club will focus on basic gentle Yoga poses for all levels.

Cozy Yoga Club will foster a cozy, easy-going foundational Yoga practice. Each student will gain a strong understanding of basic yoga poses and breath work that's more about comfort and confidence building rather than pushing limits.

Each club meeting will be 50 minutes and will include a breath work warm-up, then gentle floor poses and a more active period with standing and seated postures, and a cozy rest time with breath work at the end to foster a sense of inner calm and joy.

My training is in Hatha Yoga with a focus on alignment and the use of props or variations in poses to ensure that every(body) can be in each pose to the best of their ability comfortably and confidently with support.

This club will include live teaching, students may ask questions or message me as needed.
I look forward to meeting you and helping my students to create more calm and joy in their days with Yoga!

I consider myself a life-long fan of yoga, dance and art. I strongly believe in its ability to bring out our innate strengths and joy in body, mind and spirit. I look forward to sharing the gifts of yoga, dance and art with my students to foster their own creativity and confidence.

Yoga has helped to reduce my own anxiety, release back pain and provide me with a sense of self-acceptance and the ability to be more fully present. It's my privilege and joy to provide a space for that and more for my students.

I received my 200 Hour Yoga Certification in 2006. I've been teaching Yoga and dance exercise classes for over 15 years and practicing yoga for over 20 years.

I owned a Yoga studio for over eight years where I had the pleasure of teaching children and adults of all ages. I taught teen Yoga classes, kids Yoga and held Yoga themed birthday parties for children. I also volunteered at local high schools, middle schools and my own children's elementary schools.

After a diagnosis of Dyslexia in our family I began homeschooling for a time, and became trained in the Orton-Gillingham Method for reading. As a volunteer, I taught Yoga to homeschool groups as well.

I also have a BAA in Broadcast Cinematic Arts & Journalism and Public Relations. I've worked as an on-air radio announcer and in promotions at TV stations. I've also worked as a background actor in various TV shows and movies filmed in Atlanta, Ga.

I look forward to meeting you!
