In this 8-week beginner Spanish immersion course, kids learn greetings, numbers, letters, animals, emotions, and how to say their age—entirely in Spanish! Taught by an Edutainment-certified teacher, this class blends fun with real language 

We will learn to say hello, answer the question "What is your name?", numbers 1-5, letters A-D, and 4 animals that start with these letters. "A as in Araña" (A as in spider) etc. to practice letters and animals together. If the class is learning quickly we will also practice the 3rd person of "her/his name is"

We will review everything from the first class and practice asking the question "What is your name?" Since we are reviewing the class is even more conversational. If the class is learning quickly we will learn some easy addition and subtraction like "4 minus 2 is equal to 2" and asking each other in the group "What is 3 plus 2?".

Review previous class material and the introduction and practice of "Mucho gusto / entantad@" or "Nice to meet you" and "Adios / hasta luego" or Goodbye. They will learn how to ask the teacher "What number is it?"

Review of previous class material and free practice of full greetings conversation. They will learn how to answer the question "¿Cuántos hay?" or "How many are there?" when referring to the animals in the unit. Will also classify the animals, numbers, letters and greetings.

Review of previous class material. Students will learn how to answer "¿Qué falta?" or "What's missing?" and tell the teacher what letters are missing from the sequence.

This will be an exam for the first unit (all the previous lessons). It will be used to ensure the material has been internalized and the students are ready to move on to the next unit. 

Unit 1 exam

The students will learn how to ask and answer "How are you?" They will learn vocabulary to say that they are "fine" and "happy". If the class is learning quickly they will also learn how to say they are "nervous" and "tired" using feminine and masculine forms. Numbers 6-10 are covered and letters E-H. They will learn 4 more animals that begin with these letters. If they master this information in the class time they will also learn how talk about what number / letter comes "before" and "after"

Yo estoy bien

How old are you?

Review of class material from the previous class and the students will learn the pronoun "Tú" or "You" and how to say "You are XXX" plus the emotion. They will learn "triste" or "sad"

Review of class material from the previous 2 classes and they will be introduced to "feliz" or "happy". They will learn the pronoun "He" and how to answer "How is he?" or "¿Cómo está? 

Yo estoy feliz

We will review everything from the previous classes and the new 3rd person singular "She is....". We will play a fun game of "Say it 3 times fast" with the emotions. We will concentrate on the 3 conjugations, 1st, 2nd & 3rd person singular (I am, you are, he/she is....) We will focus on full sentences with saying if a number is such and such or not, and lastly we will see again the sentence "There are X animals" from the first unit. Extensions with "excited"

Yo estoy enferma

We will review everything from the previous classes, and they will be introduced to "Enojado" or "Angry". The class will really center on the 4 pronouns and the conjugations with the verb "to be" or "estar".

This will be an exam for the second unit (all the previous lessons). It will be used to ensure the material has been internalized and the students are ready to move on to the next unit. 

Unit 2 exam

Students will learn how to answer "¿Cuántos años tienes?" or How old are you? They will learn numbers 11-15, letters I-L and 4 animals that start with those letters.

Students will review everything from the first class and also learn how to say the 2nd person singular, "You are X years old". Role plays and full sentence responses will be a focus.

¿Cuántos años tiene?

Students will review everything from the previous classes and learn the 3rd person singular "he /she is X years old". They will have to choose between the three verb conjugations depending on the subject given.  We will also learn how to say what letter an animal name starts with ej: "Koala begins with the letter K"

El cumpleaños

Students will review everything from the first classes and learn how to add animals. "How much are 3 wolves plus 2 wolves?", "3 wolves plus 2 wolves are 5 wolves".

Del diez al quince	

This class, apart from reviewing all previous material from this unit, will focus on pronoun and correct conjugation of the verb "tener" which is the verb that is used to say how old someone is.

This will be an exam for the third unit (all the previous lessons). It will be used to ensure the material has been internalized and the students are ready to move on to the next unit.
