Class Experience
During this engaging class, we will learn about couplet poems and create some about food. A couplet poem usually has 2 lines that rhyme. Additionally, each line has about the same number of syllables. For example, "meat" and "treat" could be incorporated. Students will be given examples and support throughout the writing process. Notably, we will discuss food, rhyming, nouns, and adjectives. I'll encourage everyone to share a poem or at least a portion of their wonderful writing. Learners...

There is no homework.
1 file available upon enrollmentLearners will need paper, pencils, and an eraser. Feel free to print out the lesson document before or after class, but learners don't need it. If they want to show us some food or use it as inspiration, they can bring it to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
