During this engaging class, we will learn about couplet poems and write some about camping. A couplet poem usually has 2 lines that rhyme. Additionally, each line has about the same number of syllables. For example, "rock" and "walk" could be incorporated. Students will be given examples and support throughout the writing process. Notably, we will discuss camping, nature, rhyming, nouns, and adjectives. I'll encourage everyone to share a poem or at least a portion of their wonderful writing. Learners often inspire me and each other with their fresh, funny, and interesting ideas. My friendly personality helps facilitate learning and conversations.

Supply List
Learners will need paper, pencils, and an eraser. I included the lesson document. Feel free to print it out before or after class, but learners don't need it. (I will share my screen.) If they want, learners can show us some items that are related to camping or nature.

Hello, my name is Kendall. I've been teaching on Outschool since July 2021, and I've joyfully worked with children for over 10 years. I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BA in Anthropology, and I have an AA in Psychology from a community college.
