Description

Class Experience

In this 5 day class, students will be introduced to the value of coins and dollars and learn how to count money to find totals.

We will spend the first few moments of class creating a community by getting to know one another, understanding class expectations, and discussing our learning target.

The lessons will flow through the following structure:
1. Introduction of the skill of the day
2. Teacher model of the skill of the day
3. Class practice with the skill of the day
4. Individual...

This class is taught in English.

Students will be able to count coins and dollars to find money totals.

Whiteboard and marker or paper and pencil
Not necessary but helpful for visualization: $20, $10, $5 bill, $1 bill, quarter, dime, nickel, penny for student to observe what each looks like in person

2 hours 5 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
