In this one-time hands-on class, preschool students will learn to recognize and count numbers 1-5. We will also make simple addition sentences using the numbers.

US Grade Preschool
This will be a hands-on preschool class with lots of learner participation. Students will learn to recognize the numbers 1-5. They will learn to count using a catchy song and hand movements. Students will also learn to add numbers 1-5 while feeding cookies to the cookie monster. Students will be encouraged to stand, clap, and count along with the teacher. They will learn the meaning of the word addition and demonstrate what addition means. This class is appropriate for ELL friends. counting, numbers, ESL
Learning Goals
Students will to recognize and count numbers 1-5. They will learn a simple counting song and hand movements. Students will also learn to add combinations of numbers 1-5.

Parental Guidance
Parent support may be needed as students will be encouraged to stand and clap as we count to five.
Supply List
A one-page handout will be provided 24 hours before class start time. Learners will take away an engaging math manipulative to continue practicing addition.
