Count & Color: Snowman Math

In this one-time class, we'll use fun snowman cut-outs to practice counting using 1-to-1 correspondence for numbers 1-10. We'll work on simple addition, sorting and patterning skills, which will also develop our math vocabulary.

Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class we will use fun snowmen cut-outs to practice counting and developing number sense for numbers 1-10.

We will be begin with an optional Winter Share, where each learner will be greeted and have the opportunity to share something they love about the season of Winter. 

Following, we will sing a snowman counting song, practice counting our snowmen pictures using 1-to-1 correspondence and color each of our snowmen. We will practice simple addition, sort our snowmen by color...

Students will develop 1-to-1 correspondence counting, sorting, and simple addition skills. Students will learn and use key math vocabulary throughout class.

  1 file available upon enrollmentYou will need:
- Snowman Count printable worksheet (provided before class).
- Child-safe scissors
- Crayons, markers or colored pencils for use during class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Parental Guidance is needed for scissor use prior to class (we will not be cutting in class).
