Class Experience

In this 5 day Camp, we will travel together virtually through Costa Rica and learn about all the super cool and amazing animals we can find in Costa Rica. 

Let's travel together on a journey through the magnificent country of Costa Rica. We will spend 5 days discovering many of the amazing super cool animals that make up over 5% of the world's biodiversity in Costa Rica! 

First, we learn about Costa Rica's location with some fun facts about Costa Rica and then we will fly into the sky and learn about some amazing birds that you can discover in the Costa Rican skies like toucans, macaws, and the famous resplendent quetzal. 

Then we will dive into the two Costa Rican coasts to encounter migrating humpback whales, dolphins, and hammerhead sharks! 

We will then travel back to land and learn all about Monkeys, coatis, jaguars, snakes, tarantulas, kinkajous, and Sloths!! We will finish our camp by visiting some of the special animal rescues and sanctuaries in Costa Rica. You will come away from our camp with a great appreciation of Costa Rica and the animals that make up 5% of the world's biodiversity. 

Day 1: Introduction to Costa Rica, birds of Costa Rica including; hummingbirds, toucans, macaws, and more. 

Day 2: Dive into the Pacific Ocean to learn about scuba diving and discover the incredible animals that live there. Here we will meet migrating humpback whales, dolphins, and even humpback whales!! 

Day 3: Back to land and learn about mammals of Costa Rica, like monkeys, coatis, kinkajous AND everyone's favorite the sloth! 

Day 4: Go deeper into the ground to learn all about Costa Rican tarantulas, frogs, snakes, and iguanas. 

Day 5: Learn about the jungle cats of Costa Rica and then we will visit some amazing wildlife rescues and sanctuaries in Costa Rica

My classes are inclusive and allow Learners to ask questions, cultivate discussions, and share experiences with each other to learn together and of course, have fun!!  My teaching style is energetic, interactive, engaging, and always supportive.

Having lived recently in Costa Rica for over 3 years part-time and visited the country many times prior, I am knowledgeable about the country's geography, culture, and wildlife. I am an active volunteer at wildlife sanctuaries in Costa Rica. I hold a Degree in Communication & Culture and I am TESOL and TEFL certified (Teaching English as a Second Language)  I am a world traveler that has been privileged to have lived and traveled in many different countries across the world. Traveling the world is my passion. I am very excited to share my knowledge with your Learner through this course!

While obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture, I studied and researched communities and their use of culture as an expression to communicate with others, specifically pertaining to Cultural festivals.
