I am a special education teacher with a master's degree from the University of Central Florida certified in social studies, reading, and English. I have over 20 years teaching students from K to college level how to get ready for tests with the use of note-taking techniques. I taught my four successful children and I still use the method because learning, reading, and analyzing should never stop. 

In this class, I will teach you how to take focused, organized, and effective notes. You will be able to apply these strategies and apply it to any note-taking situation, whereas social studies or reading, article, lecture, or video. I will teach you to use the Cornell Notes structure and apply it to an outline. Let's get started!

Parental Guidance
Using as a basis excerpts from Egypt and Assyria ancient civilizations to practice note-taking techniques, might expose the students to some sensitive information based on their culture. I strongly recommend having parents around to ensure students' maturity when discussing these details.
Pre-Requisites
The student must be a fluent reader and writer.
