Anxiety can be crippling for those who suffer from it. From full blown anxiety to nervousness, fear, and worry, this course will teach our kids healthy and safe ways to manage and cope with anxiety. *Updated and reformatted! We will start with understanding what anxiety is (and the difference between anxiety and panic attacks), and then we will take a look at our OWN personal anxiety symptoms and triggers. Understanding our own anxiety is the first step in managing anxiety! Then we will learn several coping strategies. This course is beneficial to EVERYONE, because we all experience worry and fear from time to time! This is a very personal journey of understanding, because it is my belief that in order to manage or control something, we must first understand it. **Each lesson consists of a presentation with embedded videos of myself teaching the course. Each video ranges from 1-5 minutes in length and is followed by a slide which sums up the video. I've found this to be the best way to accommodate ALL students. I HIGHLY recommend parents be available and go through this course with their children. Anxiety is an incredibly sensitive topic, and children often get emotional or feel anxious while completing this course. *This course is not intended to diagnose or cure medical conditions. If any conditions are severe, it is best to consult with a physician.
Learning Goals
Students will learn what anxiety is, how anxiety can affect the brain, fight vs flight response and more! By the end of the course, each learner will develop coping strategies and techniques specific to themselves.

Parental Guidance
*This course will run with one student!
Parents should be advised that talking about emotions can often stir up the particular emotion. This class focuses on anxiety, and sometimes discussing these feelings can trigger this emotion. Talking about healthy coping skills will of course include unhealthy coping skills. Parents should be advised that this may be uncomfortable for some learners.
