I teach in a positive non-accusatory manner. This helps students become more comfortable in all of my classes. All children are welcome in my classroom! This is an outline of what will be taught in the class. Learners will not be engaging in therapeutic conversation during this class. Sometimes we get stuck in a pattern of behavior. We get angry and we turn to disrespectful behavior, we get scared and don't want to see the truth, only what our imagination has made up, we feel anxious about a specific situation and instead of dealing with our feelings, we avoid them at all costs. In this class we will be discussing how poor coping skills can seem like the best solution at the time, but they inevitably stop us from growing emotionally. We will then be learning new skills that will allow us to see the same situation in a new and different way, whether it is shutting down from being shy or having outbursts because of our anger. Transfer requests must be made 48 hours before the session starts. This gives other students an opportunity to enroll. No refunds or transfers will be made after this time. Parental Guidance
We will be discussing triggers during class, such as things that make us scared, anxious or angry. I use myself as the example to show students they are not alone in their thinking.
This class is not therapeutic in nature.
