Cool Crafts: Let's Make a Beautiful Ballerina Poster!
Class experience
In this class, we will learn how to make a ballerina collage you can hang in your own house. These are lots of fun to make and the curly paper makes it 3D! ___________________________________ Class structure: In this class, we will start by coloring our background and our ballerina. Once that's done, we'll cut out our ballerina and learn how to cut and curl our construction paper and attach it to her head to give her curly, 3D hair! Finally, we'll finish by adding any decorations we like....
Students will improve their fine motor skills by coloring or painting their printed ballerina scene, and by cutting, curling, and gluing construction paper to their picture. They will also have a chance to improve their social skills by interacting with other students as they create a cute decoration together.
I love making these adorable posters and find paper-curling to be an incredibly simple way of making a flat piece of art more interesting and fun.
3 files available upon enrollment• Ballerina printouts (2 sheets, provided on classroom page upon signup) • Construction paper in desired hair color • Scissors • A clean cotton swab (for curling paper) • Tape or glue (gluesticks or liquid glue both work fine) • Markers/crayons/colored pencils/puffy paint/etc (your choice) • [Optional] Glitter, beads, stickers, ribbon, etc for extra decoration
Students will be using scissors and tape or glue for this project. Younger students and students with difficulties that could make these a danger to them should have an adult closeby for assistance. (Please remember that Outschool policy asks that parents remain off camera during class.)
