We will start class off with some important learning goals and key vocabulary words that we will focus on. We will practice interactive reading as we complete the lesson. Students will have an opportunity to share ideas and thoughts as we look at diet, habitat, and life cycle of the chameleon. This is a slide show with lots of interaction and conversation. Students will be encouraged to share ideas and answer questions as we progress through the class. There will be two short video clips to reinforce learning and culminate the class.
Learning Goals
Students will build upon and improve their understanding of chameleons habitat, life cycle, diet an characteristics. They will learn about several different types of chameleons. They will be able to use and speak about key vocabulary words that are taught thru the course of the lesson. We will practice reading fluency and comprehension as we progress thru the lesson.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have studied animals and animal behavior extensively. I have taught sciences at the elementary level and have a variety of experiences in sharing reptiles within the classroom.I am comfortable fielding discussion and answering question about reptiles of all kinds. I have two chameleons that I often use in educational settings. I enjoy seeing students interest and reactions to different animals!
