Class experience
In this one time class, students will be learning to draw a cool pop art cat and use markers (crayons, pastels, colored pencils) to color it. We will break down the cat into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Drawing techniques will cover sketching, mark making, and creative coloring as needed for the specific project. Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along with...
Drawing techniques with pencil and marker to create a cool pop art cat.
White paper. (Printer paper will work fine.) Pencil and eraser. Various colored markers or any other coloring medium like crayons, colored pencils or pastels.
Some markers are permanent stainers. Please protect surfaces and clothes. Remind learners to not draw on their skin in case the marker is permanent. :) Non-toxic, child-safe art supplies only.
