In this one-time class, students will learn about the life and legacy of the wealthiest ruler of the Mali Empire, Mansa Musa. Students will learn about how Mansa Musa became rich, what he did with his fortune on his pilgrimage to Mecca, and the after-effect of his acts of generosity. This class is engaging and very interactive. If there is more time after the lesson, students will venture on a quest for gold as we play a fun review game in blooket. Please note that students should be comfortable with reading and answering the questions to participate fully. No additional device or account is needed. This class may run a few minutes over time, depending on class dynamics. See you in class!
