Learning goals are also things to remember: 1. Read the instructions completely through BEFORE the class begins. 2. Set out all of the utensils and ingredients needed for the recipe. 3. Practice measuring the ingredients using the appropriate kitchen tools. 4. Read and follow the directions to prepare the Raw Brownies.
I am offering this class to give students practical experiences of "Camp Snack!" No-Bake Raw foods are healthy choices for children to make, and the more opportunity they have to try new things, foods, methods of preparations, the more likely they are to develop a habit of choosing healthy foods that they "know something" about.
Suggestion: The Almond Milk recipe(check the class list) could be made just prior to the Raw Brownies for a tasty treat with the Almond Milk or Almond/Banana Ice Cream as a companion treat.
3 files available upon enrollmentPurchase the ingredients on the supply list for the recipe. Please note: We will be making the "Raw Brownie Recipe". (Several items may be in your kitchen cabinets already.) Be sure to print out the recipe sheet for the Raw Brownies Recipe to purchase the ingredients needed. We will be making the "smaller recipe" for our cooking class.
No assessment is required: Students will determine their own progress by how their finished recipe looks, and tastes.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
