Description

Class Experience

Students will practice proper measuring to follow directions to make a recipe.
Students will listen and follow two- and three-step directions independently.
Supplies:
pot holders/oven mitts, small microwaveable bowl, medium sized bowl, spoons(regular spoons from your silverware set are fine!), baking sheet, foil/parchment paper, cooking spray

Howler Pizza Pockets:
Refrigerated pizza dough or crescent rolls
Cooking oil (olive oil, avocado oil, vegetable oil, etc)
Pizza Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese
Pepperoni (mini pepperoni will work best)

Edible Wands:
Pretzel wands
Melting chocolate (chocolate chips, almond bark, melting wafers--any of those will work)--1 package
Sprinkles--Any colors will work, but maybe you would like to decorate with your favorite house colors!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may need to be close by to help with operating kitchen appliances, like the microwave and oven. Please be aware of potential kitchen hazards. We will use the microwave to heat our ingredients and the oven to bake. Glass bowls can become hot in the microwave. Baking sheets are hot coming out of the oven. Please be sure to have oven mitts or a towel ready to help take the bowl out of the microwave and baking sheet out of the oven.
Possible allergens in the ingredients--milk, soy, dairy, gluten, artificial colors
