Description
Class Experience
In this class, students will: -Build self-confidence -Increase fine motor skills -Practice conversation skills and turn-taking -Follow one and two step directions -Increase self-care skills
I am a fully licensed special education teacher for grades K-12 who currently holds a Bachelor’s of Arts. I have over 13 years experience teaching children. I have taught preschool in childcare centers as well as elementary schools. For the last 8 years, I have taught in a K-5 special education classroom (adaptive curriculum) in all subject areas. I have been trained in sensory integration, alternate assessments, data collection, and project-based learning. As a mom of small children, who love to bake, these recipes are kid tested and approved!
A weekly recipe sheet containing ingredients and supplies will be posted along with the instructional video.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Educator videos are located on YouTube. Direct links to lessons will be provided in the classroom. No personal information or log-ins are required. Adult assistance and guidance is required for the course, as some recipes require the use of the oven. Learners are not permitted to use the oven on their own in this class. Please be aware of possible allergens such as nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy in any of the ingredients you purchase. If your learner has an allergy, please contact me to discuss possible substitutions.
