Hello! My name is Mrs. Castilla (Mrs. C). I have always enjoyed academics, reading, and crafting and I believe teaching is a great way to combine all of my passions. I believe that active, engaged learning is very beneficial to children beginning at a young age. I have a B.A. degree as well as a special education teacher license for grades K-12 . I have over 15 years experience teaching children in various educational settings including preschool in childcare centers, Prek-5 in public elementary schools, as well virtual education for elementary aged learners. I have taught special education (adaptive curriculum) in all subject areas and have been trained in sensory integration, alternate assessments, data collection, and project-based learning. I am proud to be recognized as an Outschool ACE Educator and truly elated to provide authentic, quality, and engaging lessons here on Outschool!
