Hey Jr Chefs and Foodies! Join me for our Wednesday's Cooking Club, as we learn how to prepare some fun and delicious entrees, sides, dessert treats for each week. (Winter Edition)

Class experience

Students will learn how to: 
*slice, dice and chop vegetables.
*properly cook fish, chicken, and ground meat.
*mix and layer ingredients
*use herbs and vegetable to add flavor and texture.
*make adjustments with ingredients and cooking times as needed
*kitchen measurement and calculations
*make homemade sauces and dressings
*trust the process of creating
I am a Cooking and Art Enrichment Instructor and a traveling foodie,  for children ages 5 -18. I have taught fusion inspired cooking, baking, and art classes for over 10 years.

After each session, each participant will get to taste their cooked meal and share it with their family.

The ingredient list and a recipes are posted in the classroom I will be sent out every 2-3 days before the class starts. Some recipes will be posted after class, when we are focusing on techniques and skills, not just the recipes. All ingredients can be purchase at your local farmer's markets, grocery stores, and online. All students are responsible for reviewing all ingredient list/recipes, so that they can collect all the ingredient needed before class starts. Most meal prep will occur doing the session, unless instructed to do otherwise, please do not prep ahead of time, so that we can keep a continuous pace. Please reach out about alternative ingredients prior to class. If you don't get a chance, assistance can be during class. GENERAL TOOL LIST (Specific tools will be posted in the classroom) 1.A big/ medium bowl 2. 2-3 small prep bowls 3. A large or medium skillet 4. Cutting board 5. A knife: chef knife , pairing knife, or clear plastic knife with grooves on the blades. (one that they are most comfortable with) 6. Butter knife 7. A small spoon and fork 8. a can opener 9. A Small Pot for rice/ Quinoa or a Rice Cooker 10. Baking tray 11. Mixer (handheld or cake mixer) 12. Rubber spatula 13. Aluminum paper 14. A blender 15. A big baking dish 16. Measuring spoons and Cups 17. Cupcake paper liners 18. Food processor 19. Vegetable peeler
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Since we will be using, blenders, knives, the stove top, the oven, graters, etc. for certain recipes, some parental supervision is advised if any assistance is need, by the student. The student will do the majority of the cooking.
