Beginner Level
In this flexible learning class, students will learn rules for basic kitchen safety and create two delicious snacks. In this lesson video, students will learn: Basic rules to keep them safe in the kitchen. Learn to make a simple, delicious fruit salsa and cinnamon tortilla chips. Make a yummy vegetable dip and learn different knife cuts when preparing a vegetable tray. In this flexible learning class, I will be available throughout the week to answer questions and give feedback on student's creations.
Learning Goals
After taking this class, students will understand the basic rules for kitchen safety. Students will also practice safe knife handling techniques while learning different knife cuts with fruits and vegetables.

Parental Guidance
This is a cooking class, so students will be expected to work with kitchen knives and use the oven. Parental help is encouraged for younger learners.
