I am a Career and Technical Education teacher, Family and Consumer Sciences. I have taught foods classes, both cooking and baking, to students of all ages, from elementary school students to adults. I have taught in the classroom, at summer camps and online. Most importantly, I love cooking, especially baking, and especially at the Holidays. I have been baking since I was very young, with my mother and grandmother. I enjoy sharing my joy and experience with students.
Students are asked to taste their finished treat, clean up after themselves, and thank the adult who assisted them in the kitchen.
The recipe, which includes an ingredient list, will be sent to enrolled students prior to the first class. Students will also need a cookie sheet, pot holders, and wax paper.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is suggested as students will be using the oven.
