Description
Class Experience
Kids will learn safety around the kitchen and how to properly read and understand following a recipe while preparing a delicious recipe that is guaranteed to impress. We will work on measurements, cooking terms, and why following directions while cooking is imperative. There will be stovework, so kids will learn how to work safely around the stovetop.
I have been working as a kids enrichment teacher for the last 5 years. I love teaching children and allowing them to create and think outside the box. I have a 9-year-old son who is on the Autism Spectrum, so am a very patient and understanding teacher. I realize all children learn differently and it is imperative to really listen to each child in order for them to feel secure and safe.
2 slices of bread 1 package of food coloring ( 4 colors) Small bag of Mozzarella Cheese (shredded) 2 tablespoons butter (salted) Butter knife 4 bowls Spoon Spatula Skillet Stove plate
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Safety is the number one priority when in the kitchen. There will be times when we will be using the stovetop. If your learner is young, please be sure to have an adult nearby should they need any assistance.
