I encourage kids to have a hands-on learning experience with my cooking classes. I would love for them to cook step by step with me so they gain the knowledge and experience while being able to taste their end product each and every class. I have been working as a kids enrichment teacher for the last 5 years. I love teaching children and allowing them to create and think outside the box. I have a 9-year-old son who is on the Autism Spectrum, so am a very patient and understanding teacher. I realize all children learn differently and it is imperative to really listen to each child in order for them to feel secure and safe.

Safety is the number one priority when in the kitchen. The students will learn proper knife skills and how to safely handle and use a knife. There will be times when we will be using the stove and it is imperative that the children are safe and have an adult nearby to oversee them during those times. We will also be using a food processor with sharp blades, so parents may need to be present if your child is young and unfamiliar with a food processor. I will be sure to go over how we work around a stove and proper safety measures when cooking on a stove. If your child has any allergies, please be sure to review the supply list below to make sure that there aren't any foods listed that may cause an allergic reaction.
