Description
Class Experience
Toss that blue box aside...it's time to step up our mac and cheese game with this delicious recipe. Kids will learn safety around the stove (boiling water) and how to properly read and understand following a recipe while preparing a delicious meal that is guaranteed to impress.
1 pound macaroni shell noodles 4 tbs flour 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard salt and pepper 6 Tablespoons butter 3 cups cheddar, shredded measuring cup and measuring spoons bowl whisk stockpot water Stove strainer spoon Skillet
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Safety is the number one priority when in the kitchen. The students will learn proper knife skills and how to safely handle and use a knife. There will be times when we will be using the stove and it is imperative that the children are safe and have an adult nearby to oversee them during those times. I will be sure to go over how we work around a stove and proper safety measures when cooking on a stove.
