2 hrs 30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
We will learn how to bake our own Roast Chicken with potatoes and Broccoli from start to finish. This lesson will be structured as a live demonstration, with students following along each step. Whilst this is a more complex recipe, students need no prior knowledge or experience of cooking, the steps will be simple to follow and the class will be at a pace that matches the students. The class will be informal, chatty and allow for children to explore their cooking skills independently. We will start by preparing the chicken and placing it into the oven. We will then prepare our vegetables so they are ready to cook. We will take a short break and then come back together to cook our vegetables, carve the chicken and serve the dish. This process should take approximately 2 and a half hours.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their cooking skills, particularly learning about how to time the multiple elements of this dish.
