Class Experience

In this class, students will pan fry cooked ramen noodles, vegetables, and seasonings to create a delicious dish of pan fried noodles. Simple pan-fried noodles are a childhood favorite and still finds their way to our dinner table a couple of times a month. In this class, students will learn the recipe that has been passed down to me by my Aunty and the simple recipe that I still use today. This dish is wonderful for breakfast, lunch, snack, or dinner. Ramen noodles are often eaten as a snack in Hawaii, those same packaged noodles will be the base for our dish in class.

Students together with their classmates will:
1) Learn how to chop, slice, and dice vegetables for our fried noodles.
2) Combine different seasonings for our fried rice to the student and families' liking.
3) Learn how to pan-fry vegetables, and cooked ramen noodles

The frying process can be fairly quick-paced, requiring continuous, constant stirring and adding of ingredients one by one.

Parents, please be advised: Please be ready to assist your child if need be.

If your learner is above age range, I heartily welcome them to join us!

This class is inclusive, which means students of all abilities are welcome. If your student needs any accommodations please let me know and we will work together to ensure that they have the best possible class experience.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Thank you for getting to know me!
I was born and raised, and still reside on the beautiful island of Oahu in Hawaii. I have over 25 years of experience teaching children via homeschooling four children, hosting homeschool Co-ops at my home, and teaching within the private and public schools on our island. I aim to make my classes engaging, interactive, educational, and meaningful. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in our lush green Hawaii mountains, swimming along Oahu's coastlines, and creating delicious foods and recipes for family and friends. I’m so excited to meet you and look forward to seeing you face-to-face!

My teaching style is casually fun yet instructive. I will patiently teach your learner in a step-by-step fashion.

My classes are live and interactive and usually small (4 students). I recommend that the video of your child is on so they may show other classmates and me their craft, project, or recipe progress.

I have created my classes to be inclusive, which means students of all abilities are very welcome. If your student needs any accommodations, please let me know, and we will work together to ensure that they have the best possible class experience.
