Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Emily Ruth and my passion in life is teaching children of all different ages in all different settings. I began my teaching career in a 1st grade classroom in a public school. After 5 years, I went back to school and received a license to be a speech language pathologist assistant. I have taught English to children in China on the internet and I tutor children ages kindergarten through 4th grade. Using music and rhythm across different subjects makes learning more fun and engaging. I teach kids their multiplication facts through catchy songs that really “stick” since music is the easiest way to remember information! We learn tricky sight words to a beat to make them easier and much more fun. I look forward to teaching classes with a fun read aloud and an exciting craft to go along with our book. With my expereince in 1st grade, I feel confident reinforcing those phonological skills and teaching children to read. I can’t wait to see you in my classroom for some reading, singing, crafting, cooking and fun!
