Cooking Class: Easter Blondie Brownies

Hop on over to learn to make a delicious Easter treat! We will review basic kitchen safety and discuss how to use a mixer without getting cookie dough on the ceiling. We will learn the importance of measuring, discuss how to cream butter and sugar and learn to crack eggs. This is the perfect class for the beginner baker, but younger kids can enjoy this class too with a little help from an adult. Students will learn basic kitchen skills including kitchen safety, using a mixer, measuring, creaming butter and sugar and cracking eggs.
Students will need: 1 stick of butter - please set the butter out for 1 to 2 hours before the class to make sure it is soft 2 cups brown sugar packed 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 cups flour 1 cup spring time m&m's or m&m speckled eggs cooking spray Students will also need: 9x13 pan or glass baking dish mixer (may be a stand alone mixer or a hand held mixer) mixing bowl to use with mixer extra bowl to mix the dry ingredients spoon for stirring measuring cup and teaspoon
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parental guidance is strongly suggested as children will be using a hot oven, a mixer and cracking eggs.
