In this one-week daily or five week weekly class we will make lunch or dinner depending on your time zone.

Class experience

The students should learn the basics of preparing a meal which should lead to a life long love of cooking.
I was trained at Iowa State University and got my Masters's degree at Central State Connecticut University. I have taught all ages of students from 2-18. I have taught in public and private school.
Homework Offered
The will need to set up their kitchens each day with the food and tools needed for class.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
They will be able to tell how successful they are by the taste and look of the food. Their families can informally tell them how delicious the food is.
Grades Offered
The recipes will be included in the classroom for the whole week prior to class. The ingredients include flour, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, salt, macaroni, buttermilk, cheese, dry mustard, bread, spaghetti, hamburger meat or substitute, Italian spices, parmesan cheese, sushi rice, rice vinegar, nori sheets, cucumber, avocado, carrot, soy sauce, cilantro, fresh lime, corn, black beans, cherry tomatoes, mayonnaise, quinoa. Substitutions are possible for every recipe. They will also need a sushi mat.
Safety is important to us. We will be using stoves and knives. For younger students, it is advised that a parent assist, or is available nearby depending on their maturity level. There are possible allergens. If your learner is allergic to any of the ingredients, advise the teacher and she will give you an alternative recipe. All recipes can be made into vegetarian dishes.
There are two choices a one week class or a five week class. This is due to parent demand. I hope one will work for your learner.
