Class experience
In this self-paced course, students will be provided with instructional videos to make four different dessert recipes: Oreo Truffles, Apple Crisp, S'Mores Bars, and Brownies with Cookie Dough Frosting. The students will make the recipes with the teacher's instructions (in the videos). The students will also be encouraged to post a picture or video to share their desserts with the teacher. *No previous experience is required. Students will improve their skills as chefs in the kitchen by practicing making desserts.
I have been cooking and baking with my mom since I was a young girl. My mom, a professional baker, has inspired me to be creative in the kitchen. I now share my love of cooking and baking with my own children (and my family and friends). I am excited to share my love of cooking and baking with other young home chefs as well.
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to follow the recipe to make a different dessert each week. The students will also be encouraged to post a picture or video in the classroom to share their desserts with the teacher.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

The students will make four different recipes. For each lesson, the students will be given a list of the ingredients and tools that they will need in order to make the recipe of the week. At the beginning of the course, students will also receive a shopping list for all 4 recipes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents, please be advised of the following potential hazards: use of oven/stove and the risk of allergens. Parental guidance is encouraged.
