Students will be making a traditional cardamon brioche-like yeast bun found in most bakeries in Sweden. They will learn how to work with yeast and how to proof bread. They will also be making their own marzipan and whipped cream. If the student is allergic to almonds they can use chocolate or make a berry coulis to put inside the buns. There is always room for creative expression for those students who would like to alter this to their liking. I will be making the bread with the students and we will be talking about where the recipe came from and where Sweden is located what influenced the making of this recipe.
