Delight your taste buds with these delicious homemade cookies with creamy homemade icing! First, we will learn proper kitchen vocabulary and measuring techniques. Second, we will apply these newly learned skills and we will make oatmeal cookies from scratch. Students will also have the option to add raisins or chocolate chips to their cookies if they wish as well. Third, while our cookies are baking, students will learn how to make icing. Students can choose to make a peanut butter icing OR a butter cream icing. Students should have access to a hand or stand mixer to help them to make the cookies and their choice of icing. *If you wish to substitute another nut butter you can! The class is structured to be very step-by-step, extremely interactive and geared for hands on learners. *Please note, I live in Canada so we measure in cups and mL's. If you live in Europe or other places that measure by weight, please let me know ahead of time so I can have the weight measurements ready.
Learning Goals
