As a life-long lover of cooking and an on-again, off-again vegan, I have developed recipes as a food writer for several apps and websites. Also, as a mother of a child with dietary restrictions, creative easy cooking is a specialty. I have grown an 11-ton garden of organic fruits and vegetables as well to support my family's love of good, basic nutrition.
1 file available upon enrollmentRegular kitchen supplies, (e.g., bowls, pans, oven mitts, spoons, measuring cups, etc.) A handheld mixer is recommended for the homemade butter. A basic pizza stone is recommended for the boule, but it is not necessary. Instant yeast will be used in several recipes. No packaged mixes or specialty flours are used. Individual recipes will be sent to parents as well as students each week. A general ingredient list is provided for the course upon enrollment, however multiple student attempts, allergies, and/or their chosen variations will cause every student's actual ingredient list to vary.
Students will need to be able to safely use a stove and oven for this course or be supervised by an adult while trying the recipes.
