Get $20 off my class "Cook Around the World: A Disney Inspired Cooking Summer Camp A" with coupon code LYONSSC9IL20 until Jul 4, 2024. This summer camp is inspired by the countries that are showcased around Epcot. There are two different summer camps. A camp that starts off on the Left towards Mexico (Camp A) and a camp that starts off at the Right, towards Canada (Camp B). All tours end in USA. This is the camp that starts towards Canada. In each camp we will cook or bake a dish from that country. There is a movie assigned to each class meeting. Students will need to watch the movie before coming to class to be able to take part in class discussion. Lastly, we will compare and contrast the main icon for each pavilion to its original and learn where each country is located as well. I will also show students pictures from around each Pavilion. The camp format, in most cases, will start with a little about the country as well as pictures around the Epcot Pavilions, Cooking and finally end with the movie discussion while our dishes cook or bake. To the Right: Day 1: Canada: Tourtiere Hand pies (French Canadian Meat Pies), Movie: Turning Red, Canada Pavilion Day 2: United Kingdom: Fish and Chips (we use club soda in batter), Movie: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, UK Pavilion Day 3: France: Ratatouille, Movie: Ratatouille, France Pavilion Day 4: Morocco: Chicken Kebabs, Movie: Aladdin, Morocco Pavilion Day 5: Japan: Teriyaki Chicken, Movie: Big Hero 6, Japan Pavilion Day 6: USA: Beignets, Movie: The Princess and the Frog ( All Movies), The American Adventure Pavilion This is an interactive cooking class and your student will be cooking right along with me. I will demonstrate step by step, making sure we move along together through completing the recipe. I will have one camera that is dedicated just to the work station so your student can see exactly what is taking place. Your student will be able to ask questions and meet new friends. If your student has any allergies, please contact me and I would be happy to provide you with a recipe with substitutions. This also applies to students that wish to join the class but may need vegetarian friendly substitutions. I have personally followed a vegetarian diet for many years and will be happy to make sure your student feels included. Please be advised that sometimes we may run over the scheduled time. In this class we will only cook or bake the main entree listed. I will list suggestions on the classroom page for side dishes that you can add on your own to round out a meal.

Parental Guidance
While kitchen safety will be addressed in each class, parental supervision is recommended for students who are not familiar with the use of the oven, stove top, knives and other kitchen equipment we will use.
If your student has any allergies and you need a recipe with substitutions, please contact me for a personalized recipe.
Also while most cartoons/movie students will watch are kid friendly, parental supervision is advised.
Supply List
The recipes that will be posted each week will also contain a supply list. The supply list will list everything your student needs to have in place before class starts. For example, gathering ingredients, bowls, baking dishes, measuring cups etc. Usually these items are already in your kitchen. This is called Mise En Place and I would list this on each recipe for class.
