Description
Class Experience
Overall, students will learn how to write persuasive paragraphs that persuade their audience. Students will: -state their opnions regarding a topic and support it with reasons. -use an organizational structure to state their claims, support their claims, and to make a profound statement regarding their positions. -learn to use facts to support their claims. -learn to use bold colorful to capture the reader's attention.
No homework is required. If students want, they can write and submit a persuasive paragraph for the teacher to review.
Students will need writing supplies: lined paper and a writing instrument.
Each student will organize and write a persuasive paragraph, which will be presented at the end of class. Based on their paragraph writing, students will receive specific feedback.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need a dictionary and/or theasarus.
