Assessment
Student progress is based on weekly growth as observed during the session. Discussion of goals and student learning needs can be discussed via email or at the end of each session.Class Experience
This is a conversation/vocabulary practice session curated to meet the individual needs and level of each learner. It will consist of about 15-20 minutes of interview style (question and answer) conversation, vocabulary review and practice, as well as grammar and pronunciation as needed. This is provided in the target language. The last 10-15 minutes are available for student questions or clarifications, as well as time for explanation in English if needed. The goal is to provide verbal interactive language practice as opposed to drills or written practice. This is an informal practice session and topics are guided by learner interest and experience. At the end of each session learners will choose the topic for the following session.
Learning Goals
Students will have the opportunity to improve oral language speaking skills in the target language, as well as gain an understanding of specific grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary skills they want to master.
