Class Experience

Welcome to the Conversation Spanish Club! You may already have some Spanish words under your belt. You can say your ABC's, count to 10 and maybe even form a sentence. Let practice putting all of these things together so that we can actually talk to each other in SPANISH!
In this class students will be encouraged to speak in Spanish and focus on using words and phrases they may have learned from other classes while learning how to express themselves and have dialogue with a fluent Spanish speaker. They will practice pronunciation and fluency while talking about things they like to do, their family, friends, food, holidays and many other topics!
The class will be accompanied by a slide show where they will learn vocabulary and phrases they can use in class.
Maybe they don't have enough vocabulary to fully express an idea... that's OKAY! I will help students to fill in the blanks so they have enough vocabulary to say what they want to say. They will also get to chat with others in the club, learning to communicate with their peers. This will help them to gain confidence while speaking with others.
In each meeting, each student will be encouraged to introduce themselves before we dive into a more specific topic. Topics will be decided based on the interest of the individual students.
At the end of every class, we will listen to one SONG in Spanish! We will read the lyrics and sing along. This is a super fun way to practice Spanish and incorporate new words and phrases.
This class is aimed towards beginner and intermediate students who have some experience with the Spanish language.
I look forward to meeting you in class!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there! My name is Nicole Mazza and I am an Art, Spanish, English and Writing teacher. I have taught workshops in art, fiber art and writing to children and adults for the past 10 years and have taught English online for the past 4 years. As a native Spanish speaker, I also have experience helping those who want to practice their conversation skills and fluency.

I graduated with a degree in fine arts and have had exhibitions in New York, LA, Chicago and Buenos Aires. As a professional artist working in painting, drawing, embroidery and sewing I aim to teach students how to unleash their creative side and express themselves. In class students will learn the basics of art theory and different material practices to broaden their visual language. I will also encourage students to discover their unique style and just have a good time exploring new techniques. As an artist it also important to be able to share your work and ideas with others. This builds confidence and teaches one how to express their ideas verbally. Student will learn how to show support for each other while constructively sharing opinions.

The most important thing for me in any class in any topic is for the student to learn while having a good time. My goal is to engage them with pictures, videos, visual demonstrations and fun activities.
I look forward to seeing you in the classroom!
