Students MUST have between A1 and A2 levels as it is based on communication rather than grammar. Are you able to answer the following questions in Spanish? if so, this is a class for you. 1. Preséntate en español. Dí tu nombre, donde vives, que haces. 2. Habla de lo que te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre. 3. Tu comida favorita 4. Tu película preferida Students are required to have a working camera and microphone. This class is designed for students who would like to develop their Spanish speaking skills by using different real-life scenarios and role-plays. Students will learn: • Week 1: Introduce yourself in Spanish, talk about your hobbies and practise the present tense by playing a board game and answering in Spanish. Travelling in South America, vocabulary, video-based listening comprehension about Bariloche, Argentina. Students will express their preference in Spanish. • Week 2: Students will learn how to invite people out in Spanish. For example, going to the movie theatre, having a meal out, etc. They will work on role-playing different scenarios in the target language. They will learn about Barcelona, Spain, things you can do in a Spanish city and future travel plans. There will be a video-based listening comprehension • Week 3: Students will learn about Spanish food and the culture. They will also learn adverbs of frequency and talk about what they do on weekends and how frequently they do those activities by using these adverbs of frequency. • Week 4: Students will learn the present perfect tense and they will use it to talk about experiences, such as the food they've tried, places they've been to and will consolidate their understanding with video-based listening comprehension. They will learn how to order food at a Spanish restaurant and role-play the situation in Spanish. Students will learn how to speak in Spanish through a variety of vocabulary ad hoc with different topics such as, likes and dislikes, travelling, hobbies, interests, games, etc. The type of homework assigned every week is grammar exercises and speaking activities. Students will be evaluated throughout online quizzes on Quizizz and speaking tests. If the schedule does not suit you, please do not hesitate to suggest a different time and I will amend it accordingly.
